Embrace, Accept & Let go of the : Inspiring Introspection and Personal Growth
The following highlights the importance of recognizing and confronting the deep-seated fears and pain points that we tend to avoid.
Perhaps true happiness lies in addressing these issues…
I urge readers to go beyond surface solutions and question whether common advice like getting better sleep or managing time effectively truly addresses the root causes of our discomfort; ask yourself if existential concerns are the real source of your pain. I encourage you to reflect on what you can control, focus on conscious attention as a means to your “crowning glory” and reduce suffering.
Cultivating an Awakened Heart
I propose that love is an act of focused attention, and by cultivating an “Awakened Heart,” we can align with our true nature and purpose, leading to a more fulfilling life.
In the spirit of good stewardship, I am tasked to pinpoint my clients’ pain points.
The hurt and agony they run from. Because apparently folks do not run towards what will make them happy. This is a very curious thing to me.
What scares you, pains you, terrifies and horrifies you? On a less dramatic note, what is the proverbial thorn in your side?
What would you be willing to do to be free of these pains?
What are the true guards against existential issues, like fear of loss, loss of control over our lives, suffering, and…
Whenever I contemplate writing a “helpful” blog, all of the standard ideas come to mind: getting a good sleep, communicating better in your relationships, self-care, managing your time better, and how to generally be a more efficient and effective human in your life.
All excellent topics and endeavours to pursue.
Except is this really what pains us?
Or are these just symptoms of what has pained us from the beginning of time.
Existential issues like fear of loss: loss of control over our lives, suffering, and inevitable death of all things.
What are the true guards against these pains – the ancient salves to these timeless aches?
What do you actually have control over? Go ahead, take your time and write all the things down that you have total control over.
Is there anything on your list that you wish could be removed?
Is there anything missing from your list that you’d like to add?
Do it now.
Then imagine everything else falling away like petals from a flower – to reveal the central feature: The crowning glory.
You have total control over your what you pay attention to, what you focus on, and what is in your field of awareness. That is, or will become soon enough, the crowning glory of your life - your purpose.
The Awakened Heart: what if that became your sole focus – your purpose…
Love is simply intentional and focused attention.
Attuned attention is the highest form of love and it is our purpose. Timeless, radiant awareness and vulnerability is our nature and our purpose.
In order to decrease suffering and live fully one needs to develop the intentional practice of letting go of aversion.
This means that you are embracing and accepting reality as it is. Not wrestling with it as so many of us do. Face what is right in front of you. And as you gaze upon reality with an awakened heart and vulnerability you will also transform what you gaze at.
Your focused attention is love, and love is the source of life.
And so it has the power to transform life.
What do you need to embrace?
Do it.
What do you need to accept?
Do it now.
What do you need to now let go of?
Release.
Now your mind and body are free to transform what you focus on.
